Ready mixed concrete was produced for the first time in Turkey towards the end
of the 70s, by some construction companies for being used in their own constructions.
However, ready mixed concrete production started practically in the second half
of the 80s. Despite such a short background, the Turkish ready mixed concrete
industry has been developing speedily. Besides state-of-the-art technologies,
the Turkish ready mixed concrete industry also possesses an experienced labor
force.
Although use of industrial ready mixed concrete in developed countries started
in early 20th century and it took a long time for its recognition in Turkey,
significant ground has been gained during the last 10-15 years. The Turkish
ready mixed concrete industry incidentally has enjoyed a four-fold growth
between 1992-1998.
